My primary goal is to inspire students to love music and love learning. With many years of teaching experience, I have a proven track record of student engagement, strong learning outcomes, and a deep appreciation for music across all age groups.
I offer bespoke, one-on-one lessons in piano and voice. Lessons are student-centric and never one-size-fits-all — whether you’re a young beginner just starting out, an adult learner looking to explore a new skill, or a serious student pursuing a career in the arts, you’re welcome here.

My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching style is informed by a regular commitment to ongoing professional development, including:

Lessons are designed to develop well-rounded musicians. All students build foundational skills in:
- Technique and healthy playing/singing habits
- Sight-reading and rhythm
- Aural skills and musicianship
- Style, form and performance practice
- Improvisation, composition, and transposition
- Music theory (integrated or standalone)

Students who wish to keep music as a hobby are just as valid as those who want to push themselves toward excellence — both paths are equally supported.
For students seeking to deepen their musical learning, I offer a range of specialised services, including:
- Practical and theory exams (AMEB, Rockschool, Con Brio etc.) up to Grade 8
- HSC Music preparation (performance, musicology, and composition)
- Entry into eisteddfodau, competitions, and scholarship programs
- Preparation for auditions, music festivals, and tertiary arts college entry
Performance Opportunities
All students are invited to participate in an annual studio recital, which provides a supportive opportunity to perform in front of family, friends, and peers. Participation is entirely optional, but warmly encouraged.
Lessons are held in accordance with the NSW public school term. 2026 pricing for private lessons is as follows:
30-minute lessons
$576.00 per ten-week school term
45-minute lessons
$864.00 per ten-week school term
60-minute lessons
$1,152.00 per ten-week school term
Non-Attendance Policy
All students are billed for a full school term of lessons, which cannot be transferred to a new term. Alternative arrangements for non-attendance of lessons are provided below:
Online Lesson
Students attend their lesson from home via Skype. Online lessons can be arranged even on short notice.
Asynchronous Lesson
Students pre-record and share a video of themselves playing their assigned work. The teacher uses the student’s lesson time to write detailed feedback and revision strategies for the following week.
Lesson Transfer
Students can transfer their lesson time to a family member or friend. For example, one student who has a back-to-back lesson with their sibling can give their lesson time to the sibling.
Rescheduled Lesson
One lesson per student per term can be rescheduled to another time, provided a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is provided. Lessons missed in the last week of Terms 1, 2 and 3, or in the last two weeks of Term 4, cannot be rescheduled.
Teacher Absence
If the teacher is absent for any reason and cannot schedule extra lessons, a credit will be offered to affected students.
