Learn Music Together
Music is naturally a social experience. Group lessons give students the opportunity to learn, create and perform alongside others, building confidence, collaboration and ensemble skills while developing their individual musicianship.
Drawing on my experience as both a classroom Music teacher and private music teacher, my group programs combine the best elements of classroom and individual learning. Activities are practical, varied and engaging, with students learning through performance, listening, games, creative activities and working together.
With small classes of 4–6 students, there is plenty of opportunity for individual guidance while still enjoying the benefits of learning as part of a group.
Whether students are developing their theory and aural skills, playing in an ensemble, singing, songwriting or simply discovering music for the first time, group learning can help develop:
- Confidence – making music with and in front of others
- Collaboration – listening, responding and working as an ensemble
- Musicianship – developing rhythm, aural skills, theory and musical understanding
- Creativity – improvising, composing and experimenting with musical ideas
- Independence – applying skills without relying solely on one-to-one teacher guidance
- Community – meeting and making music with other students
Group Details
Group lessons are held each Saturday during the NSW public school term, between 9:30 am and 4:15 pm. There are between four and six students in each 45-minute class. Please read on for information about the different programs available.
Keyboard Club
Suitable for primary school students of all ability levels.
A fun and interactive group music class featuring keyboards, percussion, singing, movement, music games and a range of classroom instruments. A great way to build confidence, musicianship and ensemble skills in a fun group setting.
Music Foundations 1
Suitable for later beginners of all ages.
Build a solid foundation in music theory, aural and musicianship through games, listening, written activities and practical exercises. This class follows the AMEB Musicianship Grade 1 syllabus and is a great companion to private lessons.
Music Foundations 2
Suitable for intermediate+ students of all ages.
Take your musicianship further with more advanced theory, aural and transcription activities. Based on the AMEB Music Craft Grade 2 syllabus, this class is ideal for students preparing for exams or looking to deepen their musical understanding.
Pop School
Suitable for intermediate+ students in upper primary and high school.
Play and perform contemporary music as part of a band using keyboards, guitars, ukuleles, vocals and other modern instruments. Learn chords, lead sheets, accompaniment and ensemble skills in a fun and collaborative environment.
Songwriting Lab
Suitable for teens and adults; BYO device.
Write your own songs from the ground up. Explore lyrics, melody, chords and song structure, then bring your ideas to life using modern music technology.
Vocal Collective
Suitable for kids and teens of all ability levels.
Sing as part of a small vocal group while developing healthy technique, harmony, blend and performance skills. Explore a range of contemporary and musical theatre repertoire in a fun and supportive environment.
Pricing
Lessons are held in accordance with the NSW public school term. 2026 pricing for lessons is as follows:

Terms and Conditions
- Group classes operate on a 10-week school term unless otherwise advised.
- A minimum of four students is required for a class to commence and continue. If minimum enrolments are not met, students will be offered an alternative class or a full refund.
- Full-term enrolments must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the school term.
- Casual enrolments are subject to availability and require advance booking and payment.
- Classes are conducted in person only at the Baulkham Hills studio.
- Missed classes are not refundable or transferable, except where a class is cancelled by the teacher.
- If a class is cancelled by the teacher, a rescheduled class, credit or refund will be provided.
- Students will be placed into classes according to their age, ability and musical experience.
- The teacher reserves the right to adjust class times, combine classes or cancel classes where enrolment numbers require.
