FAQ

Please take a brief moment to read through these frequently asked questions.

Where are you located?

My studio is located at Suite 3/7A Old Northern Road, Baulkham Hills. The office entrance is just next to H&R Block, and there is free two-hour parking available at the rear and side of the building.

When do lessons take place?

The studio operates from Monday to Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Lessons run in alignment with the NSW public school term calendar.

Can we enrol for lessons in the middle of a school term?

Yes — if places are available, students are welcome to enrol at any time during the term. Once enrolment is confirmed, lessons are expected to begin within seven days, and billing will commence from the date of the first scheduled weekly lesson.

At what age can a student commence lessons?

I teach students of all ages from seven and up, including absolute beginners and adult learners. For students aged five or six, their readiness for ongoing lessons will be assessed in consultation with the parent or caregiver after the first lesson.

Do we need a piano or keyboard at home to start piano lessons?

Yes — regular practice at home is essential for progress, so students must have a suitable instrument at home to use between lessons. An acoustic piano or a fully weighted, 88-key digital piano is ideal. Students using a digital instrument should also have a proper stand, bench, and sustain pedal. For younger students whose feet don’t reach the floor, a stool or pedal extender is recommended.

Do you offer free trial lessons?

I don’t offer free trial lessons; however, new students are invoiced for just one lesson upfront, with no obligation to continue. If the student decides to proceed, an invoice for the remainder of the term will follow.

Do I have to commit to a full term of lessons?

Yes — I don’t offer casual lessons. All students are required to commit to a full ten weeks of lessons each school term.

Do you offer group classes?

No — I specialise in one-to-one lessons, which allow for a highly focused and personalised approach.

Do you offer online lessons?

I’m primarily a face-to-face teacher, and I don’t offer fully online enrolments. However, online lessons are available when needed, such as if a student is unwell or unable to attend in person. These can be arranged on a case-by-case basis to help maintain consistency without interrupting progress.

Can I sit in on my child’s lesson?

Yes — I have an open-door policy, and parents are welcome to sit in on their child’s lesson if they wish.

How do I pay for lessons?

Invoices are issued for a full school term of lessons and are payable via direct deposit.

Do you accept Creative Kids vouchers?

Absolutely! I’m a registered provider and happy to accept Creative Kids vouchers.
