Sinclair is an experienced Piano Accompanist who has several years of experience in accompanying vocalists, strings, woodwind and brass for AMEB practical examinations, eisteddfodau and recitals.
Requests for accompaniment should be made no less than six weeks before the date of the performance. Please provide full scores (performer and accompanist parts notated), as well as mp3s or URLs of recordings.
A minimum of two rehearsal dates is recommended in the lead-up to each performance.
Fees charged for accompaniment work do not account for the considerable amount of practice time that Sinclair will devote to mastering the accompaniment parts.
Rehearsal times with the performer are billed at the Private Lesson rate; please see the Pricing tab. Rehearsals are held at Sinclair’s teaching studio in Baulkham Hills. A music stand for the performer is provided.
For performances on the day, Sinclair uses a sliding scale based on musical difficulty, ranging from $20 to $50 per item. Additional fees may be charged to cover the cost of motorway tolls and/or travel distances of 25 km or more.
